Free, battle-tested templates to go from idea to launch — business model canvas, pitch deck slides, resume builder, mentor outreach emails, and more. Everything a young AI founder needs to start.

The Essentials

The core four.

Every founder should know these four. Each links to a free, trusted template you can copy and start using today.

Business Model

Business Model Canvas

The one-page map of your entire business: customers, value, channels, revenue, and costs in nine blocks. The fastest way to think through an idea before writing a full plan.

Tip: Start here. Fill it in pencil — your model will change as you learn.
Pitch

Pitch Deck Slides

The slides you use to present your startup to investors, mentors, or competitions. The legendary Airbnb and Sequoia templates are the gold standard — problem, solution, market, traction, team, ask.

Tip: Keep it to ~10 slides. Tell a story, don't list features.
Career

Resume Builder

A clean, ATS-friendly resume is your entry ticket to internships, programs, and jobs. These free template libraries include student and entry-level formats built to pass automated screening.

Tip: One page. Lead each bullet with a result, not a duty.
Networking

Mentor Outreach Emails

The cold email that gets a busy mentor, investor, or founder to reply. Short, specific, and respectful of their time. These templates and trackers help you reach out with confidence.

Tip: Make the ask tiny and clear: 15 minutes, one specific question.
Go Further

Extra templates
worth having.

Once you have the basics, these four sharpen your thinking and strengthen your pitch — especially useful for AI-based ideas.

Strategy

Value Proposition Canvas

A companion to the Business Model Canvas that zooms into the most important block: the fit between what your customer needs and what you offer. Essential for nailing product-market fit.

Tip: Map your customer's pains and gains before designing the product.
Lean Startup

Lean Canvas

A startup-focused remix of the Business Model Canvas (by Ash Maurya) that swaps in Problem, Solution, and Unfair Advantage. Ideal for early AI ideas where the problem matters most.

Tip: Spend most of your energy validating the Problem box.
Finance

Simple Financial Model

Investors and competitions will ask: how do you make money, and what does growth look like? A basic spreadsheet model of revenue, costs, and runway shows you've thought it through.

Tip: Keep assumptions visible and simple. Honesty beats hockey-stick fantasy.
Communication

One-Page Startup Summary

A single page that explains your startup at a glance — perfect to attach to an email, share with a mentor, or hand out at an event. Forces you to be clear and concise.

Tip: If you can't explain it on one page, the idea isn't sharp enough yet.
A note on the links: these point to free templates from third-party sites (Strategyzer, SCORE, Sequoia, Canva and others). Most are free; a few offer free templates with optional paid upgrades. Links and availability can change over time — if one stops working, a quick search for the template name will usually find an updated version.
How to Use Them

Templates are a
starting point.

01

Copy, don't admire

Make your own copy and start filling it in immediately. A rough draft beats a blank page every time.

02

Use AI to draft

Paste a template into Claude or ChatGPT and ask it to help you fill each section based on your idea — then refine.

03

Make it yours

A template gives structure, not soul. Your insight, voice, and story are what make it stand out.

Got the tools. Now build.

See how real founders used these same building blocks, or sharpen the AI skills to bring your idea to life.
